Book Club
When I was growing up, my mother ( a librarian) always participated in book clubs as did her mother before. It provided them with an opportunity to read, discuss, and gain insight from the readings, whilst fostering a community of readers.
Recently, I was assigned some reading from my yoga teacher. As I was reading, I wondered who I could share with what I was learning. Then it dawned on me. Let's start a community book club at Inward Bound, inspired by the memory of my mother.
So here it will be; a monthly Yoga book club, focusing on the philosophies and practices of Yoga.
Inward Bound Yoga Book Club
Deepen your understanding of yoga beyond the mat through engaging books and thoughtful conversation. Each month, we'll explore a carefully selected book that examines yoga from a different perspective—its history, philosophy, traditions, and practical application in everyday life. Our discussions will connect the ideas in each book with the practice of asana, breath, mindfulness, and the principles that have guided yoga for thousands of years.
